Hello, I am Melissa.

I am the lead photographer for M&J Dobbs Photography! My husband, Jamie, is my assistant photographer & prop carrier! My husband joins me whenever needed, especially for weddings & twin newborn sessions! My photography business started the summer of 2017! I was a full time teacher and had a few students wanting senior photos. I overheard them talking about how expensive it was and that their parents would never pay that much for photos. That got me thinking... My father did photography (mainly just for family things) so I figured I would try and pick it up as a hobby or at least to do their photos. I ended up doing those senior sessions and they LOVED them! My next session actually ended up being a wedding!!!!! Those photos turned out amazing as well!! So I figured I would continue this journey with the goal to provide professional portraits! I am no longer teaching, so photography has become my full time career and I LOVE IT!!! I am also a stay at home mom! I am beyond happy I get to be home more with my son! We now have a fully functional PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!! We started the remodel in February of 2020 and finished in July of 2020!!! We would love the opportunity to capture all those special moments for everyone!!
